Ethical Violations

Procedure for Dealing with Allegations of Unethical Conduct

The IJTOS Journal maintains high standards of moral behaviour. Anyone can alert the Journal authorities if they become aware of any unethical behaviour or misbehaviour on the part of a Journal member. If the complaint is received with sufficient supporting documentation, every effort will be made to conduct a complete and impartial investigation.

Both the alleged defaulter's and the complainant's legal rights will be fully upheld. The accused will have the chance to present their opinion. All phases of the study will be conducted with strict confidentiality. The publishers will make decisions after holding appropriate professional consultations.

Investigation Outcome

The appropriate course of action will be taken if the misconduct is proven:

  1. The person will be informed about it.
  2. If the author's unethical behaviour is proven, information about it may be published on the appropriate journal pages. To inform other journals of this author's unethical behaviour, this is done. The author's affiliated institute or university would also receive notification of the action.
  3. If necessary, a warning notice will be sent and the required code of conduct will be reemphasized.
  4. The higher authorities of the defaulter shall be informed if misconduct is serious in nature.

Depending on the type and extent of the wrongdoing, appropriate action will be taken.

For Ethical Violations COPE guidelines will be followed.
